abdisamad - I'd be the first one to tell you how devastated I felt when I returned to Xamar in '06. But, many parts of the city are well built & very populated.

Nothing can prepare you for the level of destruction & ruin, but there's life and beauty in all of it too.

It was a much needed closure for me, because I left it under the haze of bullets & violence. At age 12.

I've experienced Utanga and trust me nobody's got shit on me when it comes to Xamar. You were probably a baby or a tot.

I could probably write a book walahi. :lol:

Always focus on the greater goal i.e. being Muslim and Somali. :up:
