Milad An Nabawi

Hadrat Hassan Ibn Thaabit (Radi Allahu Ta’ala Anhu) said:

Wa aH’sanu Minka Lum taraqattu ‘Aienee

I haven’t seen a lovely personality like you
Wa Ajmalu Minka Lum Talidin Nisa’u

And no mother has given birth to such a beautiful personality
Khuliqta Mubarra’am Min Kulli ‘Aiebin
You are created free from every fault
Ka’Annaka Qud Khuliqta Kama Tasha’u
You were created, as you wanted to be

This is what Sayyiduna al-`Abbas ibn `Abd al-Muttalib said:

… Before you came to this world,
you were excellent in the shadows and in the repository (i.e. loins)
in the time when they (Adam and Eve) covered themselves with leaves.
Then you descended through the ages…
When you were born, the earth shone
and your light illuminated the horizon.
We travel in that illumination and in the light and in the paths of right guidance.”

Everyday is a day to remember the blessings upon which we have been bestowed upon. Everyday is a day to thank the Almighty swt for the lives we live. In bring these two together, we should also remember the one who was sent to teach us to remember, to give thanks, and to praise our Lord swt. In truly understanding this, we should always remember our Great Lord, and his Mighty Messenger scw. Nevertheless, in keeping with that, it is not unbefitting nor unbecoming to also have a day in which we set to remember as a people the greatness of the message, what it means to receive it, and it's responsibilities. If we so remember in a joyous way, then so be it, and if you choose to remember it in a somber way, then so be it. Allahuma Sali Alan Nabi

Hassan ibn Thabit RA was a famous poet in Arabia even before the advent of Prophethood. When Rasulullah صلى الله عليه وسلن arrived in Madinah, some of the mushrikeen bribed him to go to Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلن and write a poem bashing him. He took their money and went to Rasulullah صلى الله عليه وسلن to meet him. When he met him and saw him, he couldn't do what he was supposed to do. He went back and returned their money and instead of bashing Rasulullah

صلى الله عليه وسلن , he wrote this:

When I saw his light shinning forth,

In fear I covered my eyes with my palms,

Afraid for my sight because of the beauty of his form.

So I was scarcely able to look at him at all.

The lights from his light are drowned in his light

And his faces shines out like the sun and moon in one.

A spirit of light lodged in a body like the moon,

A mantle made up of brilliant shinning stars.

I bore it until I could bear it no longer.

I found the taste of patience to be like better aloes.

I could find no remedy to bring me relief

Other than delighting in the sigh of the one I love.

Even if he had not brought any clear signs with him,

The sight of him would dispense with the need for them.

Muhammad is a human being but not like other human beings.

Rather he is a flawless diamond and the rest of mankind is just stones.

Blessings be on him so that perhaps Allah may have mercy on us

On that burning Day when the Fire is roaring forth its sparks.

Thanks, do you have the original/Arabic version of that?
