Oil & Mineral exploration starts in Sanaag region!

Postby Monk-of-Mogadishu » Sun Feb 05, 2012 11:20 pm

After the elders of Sanaag attended the successful Dharoor spudding a few weeks back, they and their communities have been very eager to begin exploration in their own territories, and have met with state leaders more than once to express their willingness to start exploration. The eagerness of the Somali public to start the motion of progress is absolutely glorious. :)
Ramaas News Desk, Hargeysa

Maamul Goboleedka Puntland Oo Bariga Sanaag Ka Wada Shidaal Baadhis Iyo Riigag La Keenayo Deegaamadaas.

Majayahan(Ramaas) Feb,05, 2012- Maamul goboleedka Puntland ee Waqooyi Bari Soomaaliya, ayaa sahan xoog leh oo uu shidaal ku baadhayo ka wada dhul ballaadhan oo ka tirsan gobolka Sanaag ee Somaliland, waxaana halkaas loo dirayaa kooxo khuburo ah oo ka socda shirkada la yidhaahdo Africa Oil oo hadda ka hawlgasha Puntland.

Khuburada ka socota shirkadda shidaal qodida ee dalka Canada, ayaa gaadhi doona deegaanka Majayahan ee Sanaag ,iyada oo hore jiidaas loo geeyo dad u dhashay Puntland iyo Sanaag Bari oo wada wacgelin ay bulshada kaga dhaadhacinayaan fariinta maamulka Garoowe, waxaana si dhakhso ah loo bilaabayaa sahaminta, iyada oo la diyaariyay riigaga shidaalka oo wakhtigan Gaas iyo Petrol ka baadhaya deegaanka Dharoor oo ka tirsan gobolka Bari.

Sida uu maanta shaaca ka qaaday Siciid Faarax oo ka tirsan saraakiisha shirkadda Africa Oil, waxa ay dhawaan diri doonaan dad aqoon u leh shidaalka, oo tagi doona dhulka ku xeeran Majayahan oo la aaminsan yahay in uu ku jiro khayraad dabiiciya oo badan, iyada oo sannado ka hor ay rabshado dhimasho iyo dhaawac gaystay dhexmareen maamulka Puntland iyo dadka deegaanka oo ka gadooday in si aan sharci ahayn loo bililiqayso khayraadkooda.

“Waxa aan tagaynaa meelo badan oo Puntland, waxa ku jira dhulkan khayraad badan sida shidaalka kala duwan iyo macdan, hadda hal keer Dharoor hawshii waa gabagabo waxa ku jira shidaal dhan ilaa laba milyan oo foosto, Majayahan oo Sanaag ka tirsan waanu tagaynaa, waxa hore u joogay dad nala shaqeeya” ayuu yidh Siciid Faarax.

Puntland ayaa faragelin jooogta oo siyaasada iyo dhaqaalaha ku haysa dhulka Bariga oo ah meelo aanuu ka talin maamulka Somaliland, waxaana ay xilligan indhaha ku hayaan fursadaha dhaqaalaha ee laga heli karo gobolada Sool iyo Sanaag Bari, iyaga oo la kaashanayao shirkaddo shisheeye ah.

I'm aware that Majiyahan is Bari, and that its always been a hotspot for exploration, but this article and other ones from Maakhirian sources all allude to further exploration into their territory, as far as Badhan. There's likely no oil, just minerals in Majiyahan and all along the mountains, but the Maakhirians want black gold, and its more likely to be found in a low-lying area like Badhan & Dhahar, the latter of which may even share the Dharoor basin.
