Since when did the Shah become an apostate? The Shah was a great secular Muslim leader in league with Ataturk, Hafez Al-Asad (the father of Bashir Al-Asad), Saddam Hussien, Mubarak, Mumar Ghadaafi... many muslims will rue their demise no doubt about it. It is one thing to clamour for democracy and freedom but it is another thing to create one. And as the Egyptians, Libyans, Yemenis, Iraqis are finding, there is no guarantee that toppling great secular dictators will usher in peace, prosperity and democracy.
