Balancing school and diin

Postby mcali » Sun Feb 19, 2012 1:49 am

I have recently started memorizing quran again alxamduliah but I noticed my school work is falling behind. I made a schedule that in theory would work 100% but its hard to keep to the schedule because my friends keep screwing it up by them wanting me to chill with them. In my schedule there is chill time but its like after that time is over they wont let me go.

advise

ps I beileve my problem is becouse I cant say no and become easily persuaded becouse I try to make everyone feel good.
How can I get stronger in that area.

I used to say yes all the time until I realized the same people I always said yes to most of the time said no to me. So I changed and became the "no" man. They call me a Jew and a Xasiid for saying no a lot. But I don't give a fuck.

Feels good saying no

Trust me, say no once in a while.

If you can't say no to them, Ignore their texts and answer back 2 hours later if they wanna chill. Make up excuses like "I took a nap" or "i misplaced my phone" or "i misplaced my car keys or buspass".

There is no balance! You must decide whether you will live your life in the service of the eternal God,creator and sustainer of all the universe, or in the pursuit of friends and worldly happiness. If you choose God then you must surrender this world for the next, and though it maybe difficult you must spend your waking hours in his sweet praise and remembrance. If you choose your friends and the luxuries of this world, then know that you have forsaken the next and a short few laughs on Earth aren't worth an eternity of agonizing screams in hellfire.
