Do you still use an IM client? Are all your contacts now on social networking sites? When was last time you used an IM client? When was the first time you used one? Which was your go-to? What will come after when FB, Twitter, Identica, etc all lose their flavour? Will they? What's next in line for communication?


I first used Windows Messenger in 2000. I never liked it at first, but it's interesting to see the progression of online communication. Some say it's been dead since 2010. I don't know why I find it disheartening.

i sometimes use windows peer-peer messenger to freak out family members, , but no, not for a while. Unless you count facebook and skype.

I still use AIM and MSN. But the social networking sites have made things less dependent on IM since they inserted chat on facebook

I sign in about once a month now. I never liked it much, but I got to know some great people through it. I've never used FB chat, and don't think I will.
