I'm not trying to be stupid but how can the names of the sahabas be Islamic names if when they were being named those names (at least for the vast majority of them) they were non-Muslims? :|

Khalid by the way is a pre-islamic name and apparently means in Arabic "The immortal". I swear that's one of the characteristics of Allah and humans shouldn't technically be called names that have such meanings?

Why? Rana is a girl's name meaning "beautiful, eye-pleasing display" and Kayvan means "world, universe". They both sound pretty decent.

Lill, it's Turkish.
