I'm not trying to be stupid but how can the names of the sahabas be Islamic names if when they were being named those names (at least for the vast majority of them) they were non-Muslims?
Khalid by the way is a pre-islamic name and apparently means in Arabic "The immortal". I swear that's one of the characteristics of Allah and humans shouldn't technically be called names that have such meanings?
Would you use non-Arab, non-Somali names? No one from my immediate fam have Somali names. Doesn't really matter to me so long as I like the name and it's meaning.
attrocious taste!Or Rana and Kayvan.
Rana is Arabic.Or Rana and Kayvan.
Why? Rana is a girl's name meaning "beautiful, eye-pleasing display" and Kayvan means "world, universe". They both sound pretty decent.attrocious taste!Or Rana and Kayvan.
