lool, he's right, waaxid, isniin, talaata, arbaca, khamiis, sabca, are numbers in Arabic

Waaxid=Axad=First day
Isniin= 2nd day
Talaata= 3rd day
Arbaca= 4th day
Khamiis= 5th day
Sabti=Sabca= 7th day

Jumca=Jamaaca=signifying salaatal jumca

Some of the "Somali" names listed aren't Somali. Keyse = Qays, an Arab name. Warfa is another.
The only Arab names I would condone are prophets' names. I really like Ishamel, not Ismael, weird?

edit: :mrgreen:
Majority of Prophets' names aren't Arab, since the majority of them weren't Arab. Those names are simply Arab renditions. EDIT: Many are actually in Hebrew.

What would I opt for? I don't know. Depends on the wife's culture as well. Somali names are foreign to my family, it seems, so they won't be on the list.

Somali nicknames :up:

Somali names :up:

Quranic names :up:

the name should be as it is stated in Al-Quraan, for example Ciise, Dauud, Ibrahim(not Abraham)...then there are Somali-Arabic names like AbdiRahman, the Arabs say Abdul-Rahman, I don't mind AbdiRahman because it is Somalized.

Pure Arabic names that has no Quranic influence or Somali influence are just plain disgusting to me, I find more and more girls have these weird names and I tend to dislike it, especially if they are mix raced.
