This is a friendly photo of our Ethiopian mujahideen neighbors enjoying a night on the deck of a popular mall, overlooking the booming development in their capital city. Do Somalis (particularly the violent southies) truly want that level of prosperity for themselves?

Southies are the last frontiers. Secular Somalia is what they are fighting and may Allah help them in their hard holy war.

wallahi you guys might not believe me but financial somalia is waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay better of than the ethios when the upcoming global economic apocalypse occurs I suspect the ethiopians, will be in some serious shit. militarily somalia is fucked, right now the only thing that keeps us from being annexed is the international community. when the time comes I suspect they will just start looting in mass and killing any skinny that thinks somalia is his country. if we take advantage of this short window of opportunity (next 10-20 years) we might come out of this as a world power , it might seem like a stretch but wallahi it could happen.

wallahi although I get carried a way every now and then , I do believe that we are stronger united than divided.

And the best way to be united is under the banner of Islam and not some fake shirk-democracy.

No, but don't be blinded and side tracked by the name "AL_shabab".

Patience is what is required on the part of all God fearing Somalis/muslims and not to fall for the propaganda and hatemongers who are bend on dividing brothers/sisters in Islam.

Don't worry about Al-shabab coming to Somaliland because they are not needed there as there are Al-shabab already inside Somaliland and dormant. Everything has its time.

From Somalia to Djibouti there won't be a place totally free from the coming tsunami. From the east to the west and from south north to south inside Somalia and inside Africa.

Unfortunately not bad enough. But, we are making progress no matter how minuscule, it's still a progress. There are people who still believe in the greater cause & who have never forgotten the dignity that comes with being a Somali. Earlier today, I was looking at pictures on hiiraan of diplomats who came to pay respects to President Abdullahi Yusuf (aun) at the Somali embassy in Nairobi including the American ambassador, along with a host of others from all over the world. That's what dowladnimo looks like and that's what Abdullahi Yusuf represented. This was virtually unheard of a few years ago, embassy employees used to boss our people around, let alone an actual ambassador visiting any Somali embassy to offer condolences. It may not be much, but I believe people like Dr. Gaas and many others including ambassador Ali Amerika are working to make incremental changes. In due time and with a permanent government, and with the right people - we will get there.

lol maybe you could have said this a couple of years ago, but Al-Shabaab is finished as an organization.

They will be driven into the sea in the next couple of months.
