What is the difference between Saho and afar? Is one christian and the other muslim?
Nah.. Saho are a Mix of Tigre and Afars Depending on the clans, Saho are all Muslims, There are more than 20 Clans of saho Some are Tigre background and other are afars and 3 are the pure original Saho but today they are very very small. The Christians saho speaking Group are called Irob and live in Ethiopia, they are not considered Saho by the saho people but a tigrayan who adopted the saho language, that is why saho is the language But sahoito Means the qabil and all its sub clans, An irob christian can't claim he is sahoito but can confuse people to be speaking saho.
