His wife told the Egyptian media that Mr. Gizawy was arrested when he arrived in the Saudi city of Jidda on April 17, while making a religious pilgrimage. There were conflicting accounts about the reason for his arrest. The human rights group said he had previously been sentenced in absentia to a year in prison and a public flogging on charges of insulting the Saudi king.

Saudi officials said he was arrested for smuggling prescription drugs into the country, Reuters reported.

it very clear now, they set him up this whole drug smuggling thing is not true, they already wanted to punish him bcoz when he was in Egypt he demanded the release of thousands of his country men detained at Saudia for unclear reasons. its very ironic to believe that only after few days of his absentia sentence he flies in with shit loads of smuggled drugs lol it doesn't make any sense!! they issued him the Omrah visa only to let him get in and then arrest him!!
