I've never worn a guntiino and I really want a hidi iyo dhaqan one :( I haven't tried the diraac-guntiino style yet. I love diraacs though  You people do realize they come in different sizes? The bac weyne is ridic but half bac is a good size. Even jeex ba dhamaa. Problem is here in the West, the diraacs are already pre-cut, so chances of you finding a print you like + in the size you want is slim. At least with a bac weyne, you can cut off some material.

Horta why are the digital diraacs so cheap on the site  When I was in Dubai, they were selling for 400-500 dirhams/meter. Nonetheless, the ones on the site aren't saying much. Kuwaa la soo nacay ayey u eeg yihiin

p.s. LOL @ their intimiates
p.p.s. They sell shiids?! :o

Cajeeb, Alindii we only wear when we are BRIDES! Especially during Shaashsaar. (this is the coloured guuntion, the redish one) There is a special soft material that you usually wear as guntiino. Dirac material was not worn as guntiino in Somalia, it is popular now. It is nice the guntiino, but it actually restricts you more than the dirac. You can also get baati material and wear it as guntiino, that is my favourite option.
 I cannot fit into them. NO, NO, NO to Guntiino.
hi Basra :D

I think this is an issue in which we, men, should have a say. Guntiino- specially the ALINDI- should be the official dress. It has a seductive power on me and I am sure real somali men will agree with me. Even if the woman is ugly, I find her guntiino to have a sex appeal and I am therefore attracted sub consciously.

This dirac nonsense has gone too far. I find it repulsing.

I feel for you guys who live in Canada/America and even Sweden

This is how it works if you can affort to and you are getting married you go to dubia to get the brides dirac the bridemates and the family of the bride usualy go to France for their diracs and everyone else gets a dirac for like less than £30. As for the guntiino you just go to hindida and get fabric that you like cut, my last guntiino cost me just £9
