perfect, normally, with who you celebrate with mowlid?

we have official holiday for that and all major mosques filled with government officials. it's just few reminders between maghrib and issha and there is no food nor drinks :)

ps; all mosques are government owned and monitored. and all imams and mu'adins are government employees.
whats your opinion on that?

I'll give you my opinion on that if you don't mind.

I think it's a good thing, because they can avoid extremist groups setting up shop here and there spreading their hate filled teachings. The only negative is khutbahs become repetitive,e.g the same khutbah in every masjid in the city.

do you think the UK government doing the same thing and taking over all the mosques in London etc. would be a good thing?

Some regulating needs to happen but from Muslims themselves. The Finsbury Park mosque has done a turn around alhamdullilah.

the notion is should it be government controlled with the imaams and everyone being on the governments payroll

no hadra, is just coming together and doing dhikri, like they do on mowliid, but not for a specific day
