I view my command of the somali language/dialects as being "good" but I must admit I have never heard of the word "imbaayooyin". Could you explain it please?

its only used by hawadle, we say imboowe, imbaayo. it sounds like umbaaydeey, umboowgeey, umaaydeey of lower shabeele.we have a dialect wich is a mix of hawiye and lower shabeele like ninka, we cant prounounce lankii and we say lika, lacalada, balooni. also we dont prounce k, we use g instead.

Sahal,
Waathugow, webiga xuu la walaaca? Amxaraada walaaqineeyso, oo thoomaalidaay ku xumeeyneydaa.

Jokes aside; I don't think a dialect has anything to do with a tribal affiliation. In Beledweyne almost everyone born there speaks like that.
