TODAY IS WHAT THE ENGLISH PREMIER LEAGUE COMES DOWN TO

Postby CaliBurco » Sun May 13, 2012 12:21 am

Man U or Man City will win the title.

We shall find out who will take the 3rd and 4th place which is a three horse race between Arsenal, Tottenham & Newcastle.

We shall find out which teams will be demoted to the Championship other than Wolverhampton.

Whoever ends up 4th will need to rely on Chelsea loosing to Bayern Munich next week Saturday so that they can qualify for the Champions League 2012/2013.

As for me, Tottenham all the way, Insha'allah Arsenal will either lose or draw so that we can overtake them and claim that third spot if we win.
If Newcastle win aswell i would want Arsenal to end up fifth and therefore they would have to loose their game today.

Come on Tottenham, although i've been pretty dissapointed with my team over the last 4 months or so, i've hung on like a loyal fan and still have confidence in our boys.

Blackburn are already down too. It's between QPR and Bolton.

Today is the official Support the Baggies day.

There are way too many leagues in soccer. How can you keep up? Or are you guys only interested in the "English Premier League"?

It's not that hard, but personally I follow the Premier League more closely. The Bundesliga is very good as well, and Serie A is pretty decent too. Not a huge fan of the Primera Liga, but most teams play great football there. The rest of the leagues I don't really care for.

Well, you start of with the English premier league ofcourse. I follow it closely every week. It aint hard to do as they play Saturdays, Sundays and the occasional Monday Night Football. As the season progresses the build up to the Carling Cup and Fa Cup begins. Usually people only start following these two cup games towards the latter stages as you'd be playing teams from several leagues below and very shitty grounds where it don't even get televised.

At the same time you keep on eye on the Spanish La Liga, home of Barcelona and Real Madrid, everybody watching these two go at it twice in the season.

In addition there's the Champions League that occurs every year where the top 4 teams of the European countries qualify to play in it.

By the time you get to May, The Fa Cup has been won, La Liga has been won, Carling cup has been won a while aho and tomorrow the Premier League will end and winner to be known.

Next week the Champions League will end.

All in all, we just try and juggle that with our careers, education, family life and social life.

Not to much I reckon, after the Champions League ends it will become quite lonely walahi.

No they are not, Dutch Leagues have gone down in value since the 90's and nobody outside of that country pays any attention to its league. Neither do I, a former Dutchman.

The germans like the Dutch have always produced quality export in players who play for many teams across Europe but just like the Dutch, there's no interest in their league at all.

But funnily enough, I pay more attention to their national squads than England itself.

The German league is excellent imo. The Dutch league is kinda weak but it always produces great players (along with a shitload of flops). The French league is boring as hell .

So the best of the best go to the English League?

That is what I thought about the German and Dutch players after seeing them play in the last world cup. They are really good. I was rooting for the red, white and blue team

Even as united fan I don't see city losing this week. Those money whores got the title unless they pull off a complete flop.
