Real True Love!

Postby waryaa » Tue May 15, 2012 11:31 pm

There was this story on the Radio I think is worth sharing.

One of the most famous Somali song writers whose name is Bidde (I'll get his first name) has hundreds and hundreds of songs and many theatrical plays under his belt. If you are like me and never heard about him before, chances are you heard many of his songs. He was asked which song was his favorite. He picked a song he wrote after the women he loved married another man. I was truly heart broken, he said. Who said old somali men don't know anything about love?

To make it short, He didn't mention whether her husband passed away or she got divorced, he hooked up with her after 22 years and she is now his dear wife - happy ending  :rose:

Love is shared, not waited for. There is nothing true about that. Had she cared, she would've married him from the get-go.

That's a bit of an oversimplification, and as trite as this may sound, sometimes the one you love isn't necessarily the one who's right for you.

No, there was an obvious condition which resulted in him waiting over two decades.

Then "love" in all its forms is pointless, if we're judging on right and wrong.

Whether love is "pointless" or not is irrelevant, though.

That is exactly what we're talking about.

Should he have waited for her and/or accepted her in marriage after two decades, simply because she now realizes what he means to her, or that her previous marriage was fruitless? Is it because she loves him now as much as he loved her then? Or is it because he is coincidentally now "the right one"?

I had an old somali guy tell about his love in the older days

but I hit him up with a quick Image cus I could tell he was the softiest dude in his village.

our grandfathers were too busy for sucker ass love, there were camels to steal, clans to kill and poetry to be recited.
