As we see what's going on in Africa, all the war on the dictators, Ethiopia will be the worst one, muslims are raising up, you see them start with little demostrations, but after a while you will see them fighting in addis ababa and the whole north, That's when ONLF start to fight the woyanes in Ogaden. There will be war between oromos, amharas and tigreys, probably and noone can stop it.

It was impssoble the Russians suggested even to siad bare why don't you folks unite Somalia and Ethiopia should unite yeah i know its funny
Somalia and Ethiopia restored relations in April in 1988

yeah, this is the communism. we could have lead the horn and ethiopia in this case as we had more experience.

Sahal80, in that aspect,Libya, Yemen and Ethiopia didn't share borders. They didn't land disputes. Moreover, they are neither progressive nor that much stable today, instead there is violence in those counties. So, still point is get Ogaden resolved, and you will be better in shape!!
this is gaddafi talks about baab al mandab and you saying libya dont share borders with somalia. the problem was that somalias leadership has never believed in the socialism and communism, they just wanted to get some aid and use it as an ideological legitimacy.

1. Because of the oil
2. They don't wanna get humiliated by getting beat by Somalis
3. Ogaden are the key for Somalia to get back on it feet, because of resources they have.
4. They don't want to see Somalia back on it's feet.
Since we fought with each other for years. One last time wouldn't hurt... A last & final war against Ethiopia to reclaim Ogadenia would be like the cherry on top.
Then, maybe the UN will start to wonder "wtf is going on in the horn?"

there can never be real freindship or alliance with a country that continues to oppress our people and the other innocent muslims. in the history of east africa, the ethiopians have always been expansionists and they have openly supported the decadence and fragmentation of somali unity. i mean, i would have no problem with the amhara and tigray nations and their politics, had they kept themselves to themselves instead of oppressing others.
