How are they more pure Arab though? Their proximity to the Yemenis?
I never claimed that.. :?
I was asking. But if Midigreez is right I guess it's because they have the same Qaxtaani's as Yemen,at least the non-mixed ones.

The original Arabs are the Qaxtaan of Yemen, Nabi Ismaciil calayhi salam's Reer Abti.

As for Somali it is far from Arabic and not even a semetic language. Amharic, Tigrenya, Hebrew, Arabic are related and You hear those languages You hear a lot of Arabic in it.

Somalis a ancient, hamatic/cushitic language.
 nabi ismaciil waxaa dhalay haajara, who was a dark coptic from misr. you must have meant banu jurhum from the ancient tribes of hijaaz, the tribe of nabi ismaciils wife.

Known also as Hamito-Semitic, it used to be one language, probably during the time of Noah (calayhi salaam) and his sons Ham (who was the father of Cush) and Shem (father of Semitic people).

Westldnshawty,

You are aware that Oman controlled big chunks of Eastern Africa? Those people you saw hail from there.
That I know..
Hence why I was a little  when midrigeez said they are more pure arab than alot of other arabs *minus the Yemenis*..
I always thought they were mixed with alot of East African blood.. :?

I've been to many cities in Northern Oman and a good 70% of the people I came across were pretty dark.
They are mixed more with East africans .. when i say they are pure arabs i meant to say the bit where they are part arabs are Orignal Arabs not arab arabised. Depending on thier qabil 90% share the same ancestoy which is from yemen.

Their Lineage is to one of the two arab qabil which is considered to be pure arabs.

Arabs are generally fellow Muslims, and Somalis should have no grudges against them. I can't understand what Somalis think that Arabs owe them. Mind you folks the Middle Eastern and North African Arabs are a diverse people with their different customs, even languages. A Middle Eastern Arab would difficulty in understanding the Morrocan Arabic. The ethnicity of Arabs varies from pure Arabs, to other ethnic groups including blacks and others who settle among them.
We all Have Grudges and sometimes Sh*t talk and makefun of others, But i always sense that somali's make Fun of arabs is because they are comfortable and Know almost everything about them. On average you would find that the arabs (The real arabs) are the probarly the kindest and most welcoming among other races.. Laaakin since many other races has been arabised some tend to bring their own bad way of thinking when judging other races. Look at the jalabiya In sudan you can tell many of them are arabised and they are among the worst racist people you would find who claim they are arabs. The al saud family are not Arabs they are arabised who came from Modern Day Syria. Al Rashida are arabs from Adnan Tribe, so is the Etebi and qahtani. In saudia arabia The sauds are known to be the most Racist among the Qabil, as they try to be more arab than the arabs themselves.

Yes they are.. they are a sub clan and their sub clan was called omani hence the country is named oman. I met an omani before who even spoke somali (Even though didn't Know how good he was) still i tested him with the few words i knew and he corrected my pronounciation, He learned it from his somali friends who were 2nd and third generation in oman, He even knew every single qabil in all the horn, which emirati have you heard of or a saudi even tried to find out about his Neighbours.

Nabi Ismacil Reer habti wasn't qahtaan, he was integrated into the qahtani Qabil Laakin Nabi ismacil would be the same as his father Nabi Ibrahim, Neither were pure arabs.. so Is our beloved Rasul Pbuh. They are arab arabised in lineage.

I clearly said Reer Abti. Ismaacil Calayhi Salam married a Woman from them and among His progeny is Quraish.
