The flight was gruelling, 18hr long. I got headach and jet lack on the first day, I was in terrible shape, never took such a long fligh and I don't like flights, I prefer driving. the airline food was good though
dirt, dirty, muddy stinky and full of garbage and pot holes.
at least in Easlieght!

That's what happens when you start out with the dirtiest place in Nairobi. Horta all Somalis visit eastlegh then end up hating all of Africa because of a bad experience. Go to the nice areas and I bet you will love Nairobi. Visit Westlands, Karren, Town Valley Arcade etc...

I roll up my pants when I'm there and I try not to eat the food there unless forced to.

Of course when in Nairobi you have to go to Eastleigh because it feels like you are in Somalia. For someone who arrives from overseas that is they want: feeling like you are @ home.

Alchemist, Eastleigh has some good restaurants. Next time try Lovitta Cafe or Jam Street.

Personally I lived in Lavington during my stay in Nairobi. But I know what you mean. I use to go shoping in Eastleigh and I hated it at first. On the plus you eventually get use to it, it's both the ugliest and richest part of Nairobi oddly enough. :| If you want to shop it's the best place to go. And it kind of grows on you.
