Not entirely sure. Think I realized how foolish it is to care so much about entirely anonymous activity while others on Facebook, twitter, youtube, etc are flaunting behaviour that many would view as obscene. What exactly do I have to hide here on Snet? How would anything here be any different than a conversation in person?
May be people use Snet & other forums for ways other than we do or the norm is? Don't know. I think it's entirely Somali thing. It's somehow connected with that paranoia of posting one's pic as their avatar on forums, though whole pics are posted on the other sites you mentioned like Facebook etc.
I don't get the paranoia. I do understand the misuse of photos, since I've had the privilege of being on youtube, but what I don't understand are those who are willing to put their pictures up on tumblr, facebook, twitter, etc, but are afraid to do so here. Shit makes
no sense to me.
