hizbullah the baby of Iran pretty much defeated Israel in the 2006 lebanon war. in a conventional war Israel would lose. over 60 Merkava tanks were detroyed by hizbullah in 2006 war. so iran has the capability to destroy Merkava tanks plus shoot down any enemy aircraft, plus Iran has missiles which can reach Israel.

still,that wont make much of difference.The problem is that the nuclear sites and the antiaircraft defense systems that the Israeli gotta take out are too many and too far apart,which mean that their jets will definatly need refueling in the air.and air tankers are nothing but a sitting duck waiting to be taken out.Not to mention that the Israelis gotta worry about Iran's retaliation and all the missiles that are gonna fly into their cities.This is not a walk in the part,they are canny enough to not carry it out on their own and without the assistance of the U.S

I got yr point. However, israeli air campaign and submarines could easily destroy oil refineries, electricity, roads, rails, bridges and infrastructure to turn the country to the stone Age era.
