Somalis concentrating in one area

I'm sure you've noticed Somalis tend to settle and live next to one another. There are pros and cons of course. What do you think, should we spread out rather than densely populate a single area or building (cedar)? Think about it, its just for one epidemic to break out or a bomb to go off and the Somali populous reduces drastically. God forbid.

I think Seattle has the most perfect balance, We don't technically live in the same area but we do our business in one area.

If you have somalis right next to each other as neighbors, it leads nothing but to trouble. I can't explain it but we are bad influence to one another.

I agree with Advo. Bad influence. Also if you try keeping to your self, you're seen as a snob. Teeda kale markanu isdhex galno we kind of lose respect for each other and there are no boundaries. Marka I think its better we kind of live apart and that way there's alot of love between each other and less probability of rubbing shoulders.
However, as Blitz says the whole assimilation thing is avoided when we stay together.

The people who've managed the whole living in one area harmoniously is the indian community. I admire them in that sense.

waa caddi i was the only black kid in my school for years didnt bother me there were few arabs at least i wasnt the only muslim but in secondary school there were no white kids in my school the only white people at school were the teachers

There was one somali kid other than me in my Highschool. He cam from moqdisho when he was 11. I made him feel welcome through out high school and in return he taught me how much is clan was better than mine.

His family were the dirtiest qabyaalad stinking people I have ever seen. Alhamduliah I completly caught him off.

So my point is you are better off away from other somalis and admiring somalinimo from afar
