Thats not true. Puntland took over Tukaraq after both Somaliland and Puntland attacked Khaatumo. Mahad Cambaashe was paid off by Puntland and went back to Las Anod as part of their deal.

There has been almost as much suicide bombings and beheadibg in Koonfuristan as Afghanistan or Iraq

SL was driven out by PL forces after intially SL arrived the town thru its proxy--Khaatumo. Now PL Defense forces are controlling the city. Ironically, SL attacked this town in June 2011, and even that time it failed miserably. Well, today a similar has befallen on them, but this time Soomaalidiid has run away.

For the name, there used to be a well where locals found after they saw crow going down to it and coming out of it. In Nugaal valley, many wells are found after people see crow and other animals using them. People later on settle around the well and it became a town.
