Self criticism at its best!

In my view, we could substitute the word “Arabs” with “Somalis” (remove the invention of zero) and come to the same conclusion. False pride discourse, superficial lifestyles, love of power, using religious discourse for pretence, culture of cults, hiding behind history etc.

  for the Algerian writer!

Another arab who just woke up from asleep; he was a member of a shuura and should have said that long ago.

I always wondered why this MEMRI organization tends to translate & post news & videos that mainly show negative stuff about the Middle East/Arabs until I've Googled it now & realized that both the co-founders of MEMRI, Yigal Carmon & Meyrav Wurmser, are Israelis. :|

Thanks for pointing out that. I never knew. But, translating is not the same as funding/paying those are critical. My guess is that the Algerian author and saudi shura member are not on the payroll of MEMRI.

Nothing wrong with pointing out what is negative, the issue should be about facts. Is what is being reported false and baseless? If it is false and baseless then that is a tabloid news. Otherwise, there are serious issues facing the 'ummah', who points out the seriouness of those issue is secondary and not as important as the issues in question. Another thing could be the lack of platform to discuss issues freely in most countries where there is no freedom of expression, hence the possibility that people will resort to any medium/channels to express their views.
