How do you dress in North America

Postby daiman » Thu Jun 28, 2012 12:31 pm

Here the summer can be quite difficult. I always ened up wearing thin abaya over trousers, but I also wear skirts and toob.

But I can get qite annoyed when I see Somali women with so many different colours? why could not they match.
Immika I was sitting in a coffee shop, two women passed and said salams to me. They were wearing sheet, and garbasaar and in kale iyo in kale....as if they were inside their kitchens. Bloody.

Waryaa,

toob is a Somali word for a long dress.

may be,

  but that is OK, except that I do not find them attractive. I rather have my own style. Get some kind of Somali style.

Elitesomali,

I like the sandal, but I bet you do not wear macawis over here. I saw a bangali or srilankans wearing macawis

I remember when only old folks used to wear cardigans. Now it seems an essential part of most people's wardrobes  .
