Ipad 3 or Samsung Galaxy S3

Guys wanted to splurge and get myself a new toy for my travels. ...

I am keen on either of these two for basic functionality, browsing on the go etc....Which among these two would you recommend and state your reasons...

Ipad 3 or Samsung Galaxy s3.
Mind you there is almost a price difference of minumum usd 200(s3 costs around usd 700) and browsing wise, I have never used an ipad thus do not really know. Perhaps those familiar with it can tell me. Is it good for basic browsings, through mostly airports et al. How is the security as I use my credit card all the time online. Lets hear it. Thanks

Tiburon do want a phone or a tablet? iPad 3 (New iPad) is just a tablet and not a phone where the SIII is a phone.

Like Gatsby said it depends on if you want a phone or tablet. I gotta say though the S3 is just like the S2 in terms of specs so you can get the S2 and get the same functionality of the s3 while saving a bunch.

aren't they different things? if you want a mobile with limited internet capability/applications go for s3. if you want a tablet computer get ipad3. they two different things.

I really do not care about the phone part as I already have a bundle with damned rim for a year more...Mainly for browsing and other cool stuff....security is a must for me as I will be using credit card on it..
