There seem to be quite a few Somalis on this board. From reading theirr posts, I've found out

* Somali families are huge & they usually have loads of siblings & cousins .

* There are loads of huffadh in a Somali family

* Many Somalis chew Qat

* 90% of guests in a Somali wedding are gate-crashers.

Needless to say, I was quite intrigued.

So, if you're reading this & happen to be a Somali, pease share some details about your culture & lifestyle. Would be much appreciated.

this applies to somali youth:

many somalis can only fight in huge groups
many somalis try to jack you if you're alone
many somali girls where hijab... but behave immodestly


good and bad in every community

then again older somali brothers are much more practicing

i see nothing offensive here whatsoever!!! probably you should look into your hate-filled mind towards to our Arab brothers and don't generalize all Arabs. i wouldn't trade Arabs with any other people. they are the most humble people in the world.

It is not true about Somalis fighting in groups only, Somalis are the most fearless fighters, but of course the new generation are different they are all gang bangers who do not step outside of their crew. in the 90s it was very different, 2 Somalis in one place could send chills down the spine of a whole group of Niggers or Nazi pigs, the thing is the lion in Somalis is dying like many other things such as our language, culture etc. The sight of a Somali from the 70s or 80s demands respect straightaway, today Somalis are looked down on, pitied and humiliated.


As for the weddings yes, there are plenty of wedding crashers, they crash a wedding just to feed themselves, a bunch of lowlives, what can I say this remark definitely rings bells.

What you should be concerned about this:

mashallah some of the best brothers i know with the best reciteation are somalis, but a lot of neighbours dont make it to salaat and instead just go the qat cafe instead.

also last year 12 young men became hafiz of quran in one mostly somali masjid i know and they were expecting 10 this year.

ehhh quick tip for revert brothers, due to many more practicing somali sisters and so many men being out of their tree on qat, somali communties tend to be much more open to allowing their daughters to marry non somalis.

last few revert weddings i have heard of or been to have been marrying into somali families,

saying that... one somali brother said he would have no problem his daughter or sister marrying a non somali, just not a somali of the wrong clan which is just a different type of asabiyyah but there is good and bad in every section of the muslim community i suppose.

You're mistaken. As a child growing up in the late 70s to early 80s, I've personally witnessed many instances of a few-several Somalis ganging up against one. It happened to me a few times. The truth is, many Somalis get their strength from the presence and help of others. There's far less bravado when the individual is isolated, like there's no other people witnessing or watching the fight. And when I used to defeat someone my size, he would send his senior brother/cousin to fight me. And the thing is, some of them do not fight fair; they would use a knife, a piece of broken bottle, a sharp stone, throw sand on your eyes to disorient you, etc. So, your claim about Somalis being the most fearless fighters is a myth.
