... The lady I work for is telling me to sue the store that I bought groceries for her from. Apparently as I was there coming out of the ladies room which was next to the butchers station the floor was wet and I happen to have fallen. There was no sign there and I have been given a very good advice from someone to go and just get a check up with the doc to see if my leg is fine - now the only problem is my insurance is from another state and dont want to pay that crap just because i fell in that store and I was told the store would pay for the check what should I do? I do not want anything haram am trying to keep it halal .. the sad thing is I cant do this :stylin: anymore :(

abaayadiis,

I will tell you this as a brother who has studied employment law. To get any compensation due to trip and fall, You must proof beyond a reasonable doubt that, You suffered wage loss or you are partially disabled due to the accident and thus it was the store's negligent that cause the accident. If you walked out of the store ( remember they have a camera) just fine and did not go to the doctor right away, Your case is already weak. The fact that you went back to work also make it more weaker. To get anything out of it, You must show through doctor's report that, you suffered broken/dislocation that impaired you from doing your normal activity. The notion that, anytime you trip and fall in a store you gonna be rich is crap. Yaan lugu waalin ee iska ilaaw filinkaas. Remember you would file a lawsuit, it will take about a year for the that court to reach a verdict then they would appeal which takes another 2 years. I know a guy that said, ilaa iyo markii aan dhacay waxba mawasi karo and he didn't get a penny out of it. They brought the video of the trip and a doctor testified that, such fall cannot cause capulation/erection defficiency.
