it was a very interesting conversation. I disagreed with her on some things.. but what was interesting was that she was with this cadaan guy the whole time... really random. She gave a talk at my school and my friends who hosted her were saying "we have to take her out to dinner, thats what we do with these speakers". The problem is, they invited her to talk about being a journalist from an Arab background but she went into tangents about Islam and this and that. My friends didn't think she would bring up her crazy liberal views of Islam in the convo on campus

I am not sure who Mona El Tahawi is but she made some very interesting points. The Niqabi sister said she has a Masters in mechanical engineering, but since she's covered up doesn't work anymore, so this kind of proved Mona's point that the Niqab makes women ''disappear'' by restricting their freedoms.
I don't think a ban is a good idea though.

you have patience walahi, personally i couldnt bare to sit with such people i would say something harsh.
