Some off the top of my head.
Bowling for Columbine- Documentary about gun control in America and the columbine high school shooting.
Hoop Dreams- Touching documentary about two young boys in inner-city chicago who have aspirations to make it to the nba. documentary follows them from age 14-20.
Super Size Me- Documentary about the adverse effects of the fast food culture in america
