This is when I dislike Somalis and their "face saving" moments. Admit nothing is wrong at all costs in order to keep "dignity".

Facts:

1. Somalia is the world's poorest society.
2. Somalia is the country to have gone through the world's last famine.
3. Even now I read reports that food insecurity is rising to the level of the last famine last year. ("Somalis Dying on Food" Walks ....http://world.time.com/2012/07/19/somali ... foodwalks/ )
4. That question is a very relavant question to Somalia's situation whether an actual starving Somali did or did not send it.

The Sheikh upon hearing such a question may have broke down as would many humane people around the world.

I find it very funny and hypocritical when some well fed Somalis in the diaspora like to sweep under the carpet the real situation of Somalia in order as to not look "bad" being from there. Get over yourself; this is a real question, from a real person, in a real situation.
Well said, some people let their hate for fellow Saudi muslims blind them from our Somali brethren's tragic state!

Tell it to those who believe it. I certainly don't. Besides, people fasting without afur or suhuur is nothing new. It's been happening for the past 21 years so why should it be seen as a new phenomena? Yes somalia is dirt poor but we all know it and we also know that no one gives a shyt. Forget about saudi shaikhs; we as somalis don't give a shyt. So y should the crocodile tear of a wealthy saudi shaikh, who's probably doin' it for the Rep and face, strike me as anything good?

A mufti from Saudi Arabia was brought to tears on live TV when he received the following question from Somalia:

"Is the fast valid if we have no suhoor & iftaar".

:( :(

We complain about the lack of variety in afuur yet this muslim doesn't even have any food to break out fast with. Oh Allah help them!
Allahuma baarik lanaa fii maa acdeyta, this is very sad!
