It's wonderful, well organised and so British  I could hear the ceremony from my house  Makes me proud to be British. #TeamGP
extremely boring opening ceremony!!! china was wonderful!

by the way, can Somalis be defined as British even though they may have British citizenship?

because i thought you had to be white to be British. you can't be black and just British but you can be something and British.

here in america, we say "Somali-american" not just american.
British = Citizen of Britain/England no matter what race if u grew up or born here ur British that applies whether ur white, black or Asian but the term English is only used for the white people of England/Britain
nonsense. no matter who you are,if you are not a white English person, you will never be British or Britain or whatever you want to call it. and in fact this sad reality is not only confined to GB but everywhere else in Europe. unlike the US, Canada, Australia and New Zealand, the aboriginals of Europe are whites and thus you can't be real European if you are not white no matter what they tell you, period. on the contrary, the countries i mentioned above posses some unique qualities that other countries don't. in these countries you can become one of them as soon as you step on the land because everybody came from somewhere, some time, in the past.

so, if i were you, i wouldn't waste my time thinking that i belong there or some other European countries. good luck, tho.
