Australia is nice. They should do something about their expensive cost of living though. $3 for a coke is a robbery

not sure how you move there.. they have a skilled migrant program but the chances of getting a visa depends on what jobs require filling right now. and they are detailed.
if your job description is not on the list do not apply.

another way is if you have $1.5 million invest in bonds and you get permanent residency.

even better idea is to come as a student do your post grad and get a job .

the same applies to new zealand and new zealand is a backdoor to australia.
if you get permanent residence in New zealand you have the automatic right to the same in australia.

or even better, find a xalimo from there and marry her.

Maybe it is a bias because I am in the prime of my life and with God's help am headed towards realizing my full potential. Obviously if I haven't succeeded by retirement age then somewhere else with a good welfare system works. But as long as I am depending on my own two hands and mind, then I wouldn't want to be anywhere else.

good for you but who said anything about welfare?
we were talking about healthcare..
the majority of Europeans , Australians, Canadians and New zealanders have careers only a small percentage of the employable population are on welfare.

it good to know that you have a safety net , but other than immigrants lie somalis welfare shouldn't be your concern.

unless you are running your own business or are always innovating new products and trying new ideas than america is not your best bet.
If you are going to be in the rat race in a 9 to 5 job, than the US is probably one of the worst places to be in the developed world and several developing countries will beat you in quality of life.

awahab, replace Americans and other countries with your region/tribe and other regions/tribes respectively and see if it makes sense - it made a lot sense to me  The problem with most Somalis is that they rarely interact with out side of the tolka and their world revolves around that exclusive club.

Back to the story, I didn't finish it yet but so far
