I cannot just stop it.......
markaan hadlayo ama qoslayo I cover my mouth with my hand. shalley a new collegue said to me ' insert my name, whay do you always cover up your mouth with your face', is it cultural thing?
he is not an English speaker and is over here for a programme exchange. I then said ' oh I am fasting...so do not want people to smell my breath'. he replied ' why are you fasting? is it something personal'. I said no, it is a fasting month for us ( I did not say Muslims). I said it is ramadan. He took out his note-book and wrote 'Ramadan'. He is going to google it
my answer about the breath was quite unthoughful
He has been with us for a about a week and going back next month. I was so surprised that the guy does not know I am a muslim. He likes sitting next to me from the first day and we worked on the same programme.
I am wondering if he 'discovers'' that Ramadan and my fasting is something that relates to Islam...and that he never made the connection between me and Islam.
I do not know whether I should have explained Ramadan bit more insead of letting him do the work. But he made the note in his note-book so quickly.

Covering my mouth is something that I always do. My reply to him was just the first thing that came to my mind.
brushing the teeth does not help the breath though.

Guys you misread what I wrote. I have no problem with the breathing thing, jus is a habit. People told me this over and over. markaan qoslo afkaan qabsadaa and markaan hadlayo.
it was just amazing that i gave him this rpey and that made him to note the word ramadan in his note-book.

covering your mouth when you laugh, eating, smiling too much, is really cute, it shows you are shy, well mannered and me I find it really sexy, however if you do it when you talk then it is obviously your hiding something, I would assume you didn't brush your teeth and thats what your hiding if you covered your mouth whiles talking to me, and that is not cute at all.

I am waitng to see the guy on Monday. Im sure by then he searched the word ramadan. he sounds ''facsinated'' everything new. It is still a surprise that this guy has no idea that I'm a Muslim

Just to update you>
I went work yesterday.....the guy was already there stiing next to me desk. actually at my desk as he has not got one of his own. he put a chair at mine. i greeted him and started talking to him. the manager( a white middle-gaed woman) who sits not far from us, just ordered the guy to work with another guy. just like that. she does not did ot like that this guy was asking me more about my background or religion stuff. Evil. She wanted to separate us until his innocence about 'islam'' disappears and develops some kind of prejudice
