Proudly Emarati: Another Look

His Royal Excellency, Issa bin Zayed Al-Nahyan doing what Khaleeji princelings do best: eff(literally in this case) the poor and dispossesed:
In April 2009, an abridged version of the tape was posted by ABC News. In the video, taken at some time in 2005, shows Issa beating another man, an Afghan grain merchant called Mohammed Shah Poor, with a wooden plank with protruding nails, firing an automatic weapon into the sand around him and forcing a cattle prod into his anus before turning it on. Prior to the abuse, the video allegedly shows a man in a UAE police uniform tying the victim's arms and legs; at a later point, Issa urges the cameraman to move in closer with the words, "Get closer. Get closer. Get closer. Let his suffering show." The victim also appeared to have been run over by a Mercedes SUV, have lighter fluid poured on his genitals and set alight, and had poured on his wounds

After a international uproar, House of Nahyan staged a trial.....and whaddaya know, he was acquitted.

Moving along swiftly to Dubai, where horses have better living standards, and more rights, then the hundreds of thousands of non-humans(Emarati viewpoint) toiling to build Dubai

But wait, we are told that only Bengali, Paki, Indian, and other 'undesirables' are treated like that. Never Emeratis and Somalis, right?
50 people have been detained since March 2012 with 36 arrested since 16 July alone. The whereabouts of 38 of the men remain unknown, and Amnesty International has expressed concerns that the detainees are at risk of being tortured. One of the original ‘UAE5,’ Ahmed Adul Khaleq, was re-arrested in May and deported to Thailand on 16 July, on a Comoros Island passport, after being told by prison officials that he would be imprisoned indefinitely without formal charge if he refused to leave. Abdul Khaleq is a member of the stateless (‘bedoon’)community and founder of the Emaraty Bedoon website that sought to draw attention to their plight. His family has been harassed by the UAE authorities and his six sisters have been threatened with arrest if he resumes his activism while in Thailand

Of additional concern is that some of the arrests were reportedly carried out by un-uniformed men said to be non-Emiratis. These could be members of an 842-strong group of Columbian soldiers and former soldiers said to be operating within the UAE; according to a May 2011 New York Times exposé, they were hired by former Blackwater head Eric Prince at the behest of the Abu Dhabi authorities to defend the UAE from terrorist attacks and internal revolt. The Times article claimed that Prince had given orders to recruit only non-Muslims, from South Africa and the French Foreign Legion in addition to Columbia, as Muslim soldiers “could not be counted on to kill fellow Muslims.(  )”

I just don't understand why people would go to extreme lengths to lie about "how good life is" in the Khaleej, when the reality is so damn evident. UAE princelings reserve the right to not only literally butt-fk your anus with a cattle-prong, but to videotape it so that you re-live it forever .......what more do you need?

No one was lying, obviously you have some comprehension issues. I said to its people the EMARATI NATIONALS, U.A.E is very good and generous! to the expatriate poor and destitute it ISN'T. I was very clear.

ES,

I was referencing the dude in the vid who was singing his heart out in khushooc, not necessarily you(ok, maybe a little bit). First thought that came to mind when I heard him singing, especially with his facial reactions, was: House Negro.

Meseret,

If Somalis had the oil wealth Khaleejis had, they'd prolly act the same way. The issue isn't wealth tho, it's the concept of the rule of law and regard for for your fellow human. Alien concepts to the vast majority of the ruling elite in the Gulf....and in Somalia(if it'll make u feel better)

If I go to somalia and make a buisness deal with the president son and screw him over millions of dollars and cheat him and stick around driving in the country do you think the president son would do something to me????? well the guy in the Video did that he got the Arab wrath, Just because Emirate is open and easy to do buisness it doesn't mean you can go there and mess around especially with the ruling family, At the end of the day they are arabs bedioun and have hot blood when they find out they have been cheated.

MidriGeez,

"he cheated me" is simply the fake defense this ciyaal-sooq sadist concocted. He lost millions on a business deal, so he had to take his revenge on a hapless Afghani. There was no 'cheating' involved. He also had 25 other videotaped torture sessions, some of his other victims were your close cousins, Suudaani. Marquis de Sade had nothing on this bastard of House Nahyan.

The afghani Guy wasn't helpless he screwed over many other buisnessmen in Emirates but his arrogance got him to even try to screw over the ruling family in their Country, i know this info from one of my friends who his uncle works in the police dpt there, alot of people were after the afghani Guy. Sudanese people are the worst when it comes to Business and trust, you can never trust them, The thing is this is his backyard and home and many people know how he operates yet many people do business with him and his family and try to rip him off while attempting to run away after, If your family is worth $500 Billion Pounds you would expect to see many shady people trying to do business with you and rip you off, Heck i think it would be worst if you were in his shoes you would Go "Idi Amin" On him and His afghan family even his whole qabil, Basically if you go there and try to cheat the ruling family in their back yard anything happens to you is "Play On" No foul. i am just suprised that some somali are concerned about this.

I can't believe this Midrigeez justifying this barbarity...no matter how bad that Afghan man was, you deal with him in the proper manner by taking him to the courts.
