How has the Olympics impacted Great Britain? From what I have read I feel like that is the closest you guys have gotten to how the US was during Obama's first presidential run.

That's why I avoided it, I'll go after the people clear out. I even avoided trains for the past 2 weeks though I missed any chance I had at getting an autograph from Usain Bolt :x

No where near as good as Sydney 2000 that is for sure. Sydney 2000 has set the benchmark for excellence especially opening and closing ceremonies and so far the 3 Olympics held since then did not reach that level of excellence.

Big impact on Somalis worldwide, inshallah our youth will go in the sports industry, football, atheltics, Mo farah made Somalis felt like they can do something, the somali ciyaal suuqs up here in london and the war kids down their moqadishu and the rest of us, I don't know any somali who doesn't feel proud at the moment.

Damn we stole the 10,000 and 5,000 from the kenyans and the habeshas.
