My best friend of 30 years decided to go home. He left his white wife and some bastards are whispering falsehoods into her ear that Alkolo got married to a young woman in Somalia. Since she assumes that Alkolo and I have been friends and are allegedly relatives (we always acted like we were relatives) that I would have the scoop on his on goings. I know for a fact that I will not turn on my friend of 30 years, if Aideed and Siyaad couldn't make us enemies, I'd be damned that some woman or those no good Somalis snitches would. I told her I heard nothing and that those spreading those lies were just haters who wanted her marriage to end.
I understand the snitching if his wife was Somali but she ain't. Why snitch ?
Words of advice to my brothers going back home, minimize the phone calls back to your friends/relatives. Assume nome de guerres and share little info when you are chilling in the old country: just be Mohamed from Nairobi not Mohamed from Leicester. Don't graze with relatives but find like minded people. If you do have the urge to get married, make it very confidential and don't marry relatives. A friend of mine got married to a gorgeous 18 year old woman and no one knows about it except me. His wife back home is unaware and I can understand his reasons to have a second wife.
So folks, NO SNITCHING !!
