I beg to differ, in the early days when 'deodorant' was a foreign substance, yeah we had a lot of problems and fights at school, especially at the gym. But no people have grown and learned the system, its less common. The only remnants of 'shiir and ur' are in the women section of the mosque lol maybe that is why your general application should be discounted
