Battlestar Galactica is full of surprises -- probably one of the most under-rated scifi shows out there.

Alpha - After Star Trek TNG got canned years ago, I gave a few other shows like SG1 and Voyager a shot, mega disappointment. Then quit on the whole genre.

I used to see glimpses of BSG on NBC back when it was airing while flipping through channels, never made much of it. I like the plots and the subject they're exploring, don't understand the obsessions the Cylons have with God though, some programmer played a mean joke on them or sumthin'?

Finished it a couple of years ago. As for the plot... just keep watching. Do not youtube anything regarding the series. Anything.

No clue what's on Netflix. Never used it. But if you haven't watched a good Sci-fi since Voyager, then there's a lengthy list to see. Fringe, Firefly, Eureka, Doctor Who, etc.

I haven't watched Arrested Development, looks good from what I saw on youtube.

Try The Increasingly Poor Decisions of Todd Margaret. Only the first season is available on Netflix but you may like it. It is similar to Arrested Development in that it has some of the same people from that show.

I can't remember who recommended "the increasingly poor decisions of Todd MArgaret" but that show was effing good, same lead ator in Arrested Development.

P.S. Just got done watching Lost over the summer; epic. Sets the bar way too high. Galactica comes close.

Caught the preview a couple weeks back. It was really cool, but I'm struggling to understand where the action will come from if they're at a standpoint like this. It seems like it'll be another series based on cliffhangers.
