^^lets hope so :lol: :up:
my awoowe married two, my ayeeyo being the first. when my gramps married his 2nd wife, my dad saw the favoritism awoowe showed the 2nd and told my mom "i don't want to do that to you" cause he saw his mom be pushed to the side so to speak after bearing a huge family for my grandfather

my father isn't like a lot of Somali men in their 40s and 50s
I think thats it, because seeing his mother upset will have had an impact on his decisions especially now that his wife is a mother, he might have resented his father for it and he has to think of you guys feeling how he did.

Good on your father, one women is more than enough :up:

LOL.

It is not only somalis though. A favourite professor of ours was retiring after many years and we decided to give him a party for his 70th birthday on a cruise ship. We asked him to give a wish;

He said; dear lord I wish to die at the young age of 90 in bed with a 19 year old.

P.s. some somalis have a theoretical knowledge of performance by asking what an old man can do :lol:

P.s.s That you dad calls your mom a number of times a day and telling her that he loves her is a sign of "polygamy". I will do the same if I was involved in that kind of enterprise

Deluded old men. My uncle did the same and he wasn't even 70 more like in his 50s and mid yar o 17 jir ah ayuu guursaday. Fastforward a couple of years and a child later? She tells him she doesn't love him and wants a divorce, this is straight after they came to the West. He divorced her and she proceeded on to marrying a man who was of a similar age to her. Odaygii ended up going back to his old islaan.

These women 100% of the time are using these men. Jaceeylkama aha.

maybe the solution is like my dad did, just marry second wife few months apart. my half sister is just few months older. and guess what qatari law kind of fair. my mom wont get a citizen ever and she is not entitled any government support if she even need it.

when i was younger, yeah i was thinking marrying more than one wife like family legend did/do. but i dont even sure if i even want one. more time for my 3ibaada.

fah, abo is right - some of these oldies are getting more than one.

lama, it is across the board but most Somalis at that age don't wanna do it the haram way. Some1 (was it daanyeer) posted a news article on American seniors and alarming STD rate. I think it was about old men doing it with hookers and giving it to their wives/partners.

hyper, I think all muslim countries are open to this practice. I heard Egyptians are the least to have multiple wives.

i dont know if i am right or wrong but i observed , more civilized society or modern life style less multiple marriages. im guess the econimic reason is most reasons, uless is like somalis who dont care if they can afford or not. cause women is financially better off.
