LOL! It seems this story has been narrated differently over the years. I heard it happened to a group of Somali students who were sent to the Middle East (particularly in Egypt, I think) for studies. So one day one of them was sent to a shop to buy eggs and he was told it's called bayd in Arabic but when he reached the shop he forgot the word. He was xirow & knew some big, old Arabic words so he built a sentence a went like this: "Uriidu shay'un abyadun yakhruju min duburi dijaaj." (I need something white that comes out of chicken's behind).

Somali man who's fairly new to America is looking for a parking lot so goes up to an attendant 'Can show me where I can bark please?' The attendant thinking he didn't hear correctly repeated "bark?" The Somali guy nods his head 'yeah, I want to bark'.. the guy is like :wtf: and then proceeds on to tell the Somali man before walking off 'Well you can go bark where ever the hell you want!'

Yep, that's the version I heard too . Verbatim too...I thought it was something that happened to my parents' friends when they were in Cairo. Didn't know it was a universal joke lol.

Sarax, yes it's. Wuxuu ahaa mid xirow ah and was good with Nahwa so, yeah.

Did you guys hear about the one who tried to interpret the Somali saying 'Garabkaaga Alla ha galo' into Arabic? lol

This guy was also student in an Arab country & knew some Fus-ha, the big-ass Arabic, and one day tried to say to someone 'Garabkaaga Alla ha galo' (May Allah be with you) in Arabic but didn't know the expression 'Allah ma'ak' at the time so he went like: "Allah hadkhul katafak", which basically translates into "May Allah enter your shoulder."
