Somali youth must disinherit forefather's mindset

The disease that cripples the Somali nation is not this civil war (of which we are living through the end stages), but the mindset of the typical Somali.
The Somali youth must disinherit forefather's mindset .....a mindset characterized by ignorance, pride, laziness, complacency, futility, tribalism, and every ill known to the human intellect
The youth of the Somali nation must be the great catalyst that transforms Somali society and delivers it from the darkness in which it dwells. It is upon the Somali youth to act as a unified and powerful force for positive change, to struggle to ensure that the blessings of liberty, freedom, equality, and justice are enjoyed by the Somali race as they are enjoyed by the free people’s of the world.
They must fight to make our nation a free one, one in which each citizen is possessed of inalienable rights, rights which are guaranteed in a secular constitution and protected by a secular government dedicated to the cause of unity and advancement.
Let the forum voice its agreement

Our nation? You're American.
What's needed is a healthy blend of education and opportunity. Given a democratic government which works for the people, the rest will fall into place.
Secularism is a personal decision. Nothing to do with a nation.

How can you have a democratic government that works for the people without secularism?

You can try, but you might find yourself being chased by her 19 brothers.
It's a reality that can't be overlooked. For now. Hopefully, with time, people will have had enough of it. I wonder how those on the ground see it.

Nor democracy nor secularism will hand the somalis a upper hand, neither will communism or capitalism or whatever you want to call it. The original jurisprudence and legislation put down by the successors of the prophet (Umar, Abu Bakr) that led to Islam conquering half of the world, having a balanced economy and was flourishing for the next 6-7 centuries, is the only form of rule or legislation that will lead somalis to the light at the end of the tunnel. The world today seems more globalized and like one society, one rule, one language, one dress-code etc, it seems more globalized more then ever... but when you are someone who believes reason and logic must judge on the basis of a religion(s) that's when you lost the plot. There is no valid excuse for Islam not being allowed to be ruling a state, if you wish to bring forth the garbage that much of humanity calls news then please restrain yourself from doing so, because if fox, bbc, cnn or al-jazeera told me that the moon exploded i would not believe it until convinced, that can not be said to the sheeps that sallow any *cough* information showed on television.

These "cultural traditions" you speak of have not been working out for the Somali people, as evidenced by their complete lack of history and civilization and their current predicament. Perhaps it's hightime they embraced the cultural values of more potent societies, as that is, after all, the way failing societies move forward?

If that's what you're waiting for, might wanna take a seat. Don't hold your breath though. Could be a few more generations till things "move forward".

I speak "that language" (better than anyone) I just choose not to, besides all the people that think they know qabyaalad and what each qabiil stands for actually know shit about qabiil(specially niggers in this site.) And if they bring 19 brothers, well I got thousands of stone cold killers with gawaari tekniko ah. This is the problem with bitch ass niggers, they mistake diplomacy for weakness.

There already exists a unity of religion and culture in Somalia but that has not secured peace or prosperity...how would your particular implementation of Islamic governance change this reality??
