waryaa, i dont want to be too intrusive on how you run your own site but i would appreciate if you would take my suggestion into consideration. i think it would be better to just have the moderators only ban those who post stuff that is illegal(i think this is self explanatory) or people who are being extremely disrespectful to others or the trolls. if people insult islam, if someone is a known atheist, if someone is gay, if someone wants to express a certain opinion where he might be in the minority, i think it should just be allowed. you may not like what the other person is saying or may not like what the other person is but at the end of the day, its the internet. its a place where you can freely exchange your opinions, ideas and your thoughts and be free. its the only place people can escape to be themselves. as long as they are not hacking the site or trolling or being really disrespectful that is. people here need to be tolerant of others and their opinions. i dont think the mods are at fault but its the regular contributors that are driving them insane. i dont blame the mods at all because they are being coerced into banning and issuing warnings to people or to favor a certain side because of pressure. if people cant express themselves, it just defeats the whole purpose of the internet.

I agree with everyone expressing their opinions cuz it's boring if nobody ever goes against the grain, but there are limits to freedom of expression everywhere in life. This isn't an Islamic website, but it's a Muslim website by virtue of the dominant belief among the majority of forumers being Islam (not to mention the people who own and run the website) so that alone commands it to be respected by those who don't necessary believe in it. There's no rule saying u can't be non-Muslim/gay/have whatever freaky fetish, but we're all guests here and if guests don't behave how the host wants them to, they get kicked the fuck out.
