I read his Satanic around 1993 , large volume , useless long and boring , by page 300 i got tired of his non sense. The only thing i got out of him was my introduction the Ali Dashti , a book that changed my philosophy.

I don't advocate the right to offend as a "free speech" yes free speech is good , but only good with the right to question and stimulate a man's thinking not just to offend. Just offending people and then claiming its your right is not much of a use to civilization.

I didn't ask you whether or not you agreed with him, but whether or not you agree that free speech is a right incontrovertible. Do you believe that Salman Rushdie should be killed for his words?

Laws that are passed to stop "offense" can and will be used to diminish other aspects of free speech. Let this Salman Rushdie continue writing odious materials, what difference should it make to a billion strong religion growing at a mighty rate? So you're arguing that Rushdie, Rush, and Duke should all have their free speech rights repealed, or at least eroded? Who would determine what constitutes "hate speech", a government agency? What would be considered hateful and inciting? Would denying the Triune God worshiped by billions of Christians and contesting the validity of their religion be considered incitement? Surly Christians take great offense when Muslims do this. This is a can of worms I'd rather have not opened. Millions lost their life in defense of free speech, we cannot back down now in the face of a handful of rioters and crazy clerics.
