Childhood nicknames

I was talking to my cousins and we started calling each other nicknames we haven't used in ages. I realized that my childhood nickname can still be applied to my life today.
My family used to call me ma ooyso, because I did not shed tears under any circumstance when I got a good beating. I would hold it in till and all you could hear was me trying to muffle my expected sobbing. Either I thought tears were a sign of weakness or I was a prideful little bart. I still don't remember the last time someone saw me crying. That doesn't mean I don't cry. It's just not for public display.
I'm sure every Somali child had at least one nickname they hated or loved during their childhood.
