Promising young Somali Footballers

Postby *Nobleman* » Thu Nov 01, 2012 8:53 am

I've been an avid watcher of the Victory shield tournament, an under 16 tournament between England, Wales, Scotland and NI held every year about this time. A lot of future talent is unearthed during this tournament. I've noticed some quality Somali footballers representing the different countries:

Firstly Feruz Islam billed as the new scottish Wayne Rooney

Abdifatah Noor, Mashallah excellent baller, know his family in Cardiff

Muktar Ali, another promising talent, will play Live on sky sports tonight inshallah for England

God willing these kids make it into premiership regulars, do all us proud

That is seriously impressive,

3 Somalis playing national teams of UK. 2 in the Chelsea Youth squad and one in Cardiff City. Also does anyone know what happened to the Somali player that played for Arsenal reserves? What is Abdisalam Ibrahim and Ayub Daud up too? Also wasn't a young Somali scouted by Wigan?

In Australia, we have Youssouf Hersi playing. He was the former captain of the Dutch Youth team, he played alongside the likes of Rafael van der Vaart and Huntelaar. He played an awesome game against the champions of the Australia league.

Wish all these boys the best   :som:

Here is the latest picture of Islam Feruz. I think he is Somali Bantu or Muslim Bantu from Tanzania they lived in Somalia. Doesn't matter either way, at least he gives Somalis a good name
