Puntland bans plastic bags and containers..

Postby barbarossa » Mon Nov 19, 2012 12:39 am

A milestone law has been passed in the Somali state of Puntland today banning all plastic bags and containers. If this new law is stringently enforced, and that is big if, I think, it will go a long way to slow down the rapid environmental degradation of not only that region but the country as a whole. I hope and pray other states follow this bold steps taken by Puntland and band the use of this harmful material.
