sounds like your friend was drunk....in his definition do "modern" muslims drink also?

A modern Muslim is a intelligent educated muslim who knows how to use 21st century technology, open to new ideas, aware of his environment while maintaining and putting his Deen before everything else..

A modern muslim is a muslim who holds his Deen in right hand and wordly education in the other..

Does it matter? Cuz to the rest of us the only thing that matters is how muslims behave and not what they consider themselves.

Achilles--Ok..I think most people associate life in the city, technology, education and things of that sort with education. I'm sure that's the definition you will find across the world. But many people try to potray the muslims as backward people who hate technology, education and freedom.

Say_what1,

"Can u telll me what matter to you?"

That muslims don't follow blindly everything their religion and imaams tell them. That they use their conscience and take into consideration the needs and wishes of those they share the planet with. They become more pragmatic and less dogmatic. That they stop hate mongering and welcome and treat those of different faiths equally and fairly. That they stop calling science the work of the devil or fake. These are few things but there are more.

"If something should matter to you its what their belief says not how they act"

No one cares what you believe if what you do is so different from what you believe.

Yes. The following

LionHeart-112,

"remember, atheist fu.ck, you are the one desperately wanting to be friends with Muslims here"

I have muslims friend and have no problems with muslims Exclamation My family and relatives are ALL muslims, so save your babbl.

"do u see us on faithfreedom and other shitty atheist/kaafir sites??no..u seek validation..we believe in our Deen"

Actually according to Coolman that site has muslim members, I remember you saying u were member once too. What has changed?

I'm somali, this is somali site...based on those two facts my membership here is more justified. You don't need to somali or a muslim to be a member of this site.

Of course u have muslim friends and family members. I bet you go to the masjid too when ur mom yells at you..loooool..you are a closeted atheist/homosexual. How does it feel to live a life of secrecy??

Faithfreedom's muslim members are there to give Da'wah to lost souls like you and expose the lies of Ali Sina..Unlike you, they aren't there to seek the approval of others nor do they care what others think of them..They are there to do their duties as muslims and that's to advice and warn others of Hell and invite them to the Light Of Islam.

Lioness,

DD doesn't have a life secrecy Exclamation

More faglames from supposedly straight man who disapproves of homosexuality...i wonder why you're so obsessed with them and call everyone that disagrees with you FAG.

What is Da'wah? It means nothing to us nonmuslims. They are there to debunk what they percieve as misinformation, I can't fault them. I, on the other hand, am not here for the same reason. This site is not Islamic site, but somali site.

Achilles--I think in the western sense, when it comes to modernization everything is fair game. That's what they did with their religion. Modernized christianity...reduced to weekly meetings and singing. Modernization in technology, health, education is good..Islam is perfect the way it is. It was perfect the way it was revealed to Prophet (scw) Muhammad...And i will stay that way.forever.

I'll give you my definition of modernism. Modernism is ditching mystical thinking and superstiteous believes for rationalism and humanism. Wink
