Communicating with mom effectively can go a long way into solving this dilemma. Assess the situation first, weigh in the pros and cons then proceed with the final decision.
Some mothers need a timeout as they are too much to handle. Be careful.

Women waa headache socda. :mindblown:

OP asks about what the reader would do in that situation. Opinion doesn't have to come after experience.

Abakar,

I didn't read all the pages and what the folks suggested. I think, it is always a good idea to be careful when it comes to marriage. Let us not forget that the Jannah is in the feet or whatever of our mother. As some wrote, what is important is to clearly define why the mom is against the marriage. Is it because of stupid qabiil? Because of money? Does the mother know what the younger child doesn't? Love shouldn't blind the young person...If the mother is unreasonable it is always a good idea to bring the situation to relatives and try to bring her to her sense... I don't know it is a difficult situation..But moms always come back.. Every body knows his parents..

Naagti nin guursata hooyadi neceb tahay iyada waalan.Once the love, xiiso and the qooq is out of the window and ur marriage get rocky,it's good to have ur husband family on ur side. They will fight ur battles esp if the mother liks you and you play ur cards right.

Never underestimate the power a mother has over her son, waa tii aduunkan keentay.
