The Somalis in Toronto are once again trying to change the story that the news station distributed. Some of his family members and friends were interviewed on the news saying that he was actually visiting a friend of his who was leasing the basement from the home owner and when his friend told him to leave because it was 'too late' he didn't listen and they had a scuffle in which the victim was shot and killed. What an unlikely story. They also went on to say how he was an actor and university student and was not the thug that the news portrayed him as.

The guy was setup, a Somali girl set him up and told him to meet at this house and left the door unlocked for the gunmen to come in and pop him, before he died he said "I waited 2 yrs to kill you" and bam 2 shots in the head.

5. Started and sold a business while in Uni
6. Co-Founded 2 IT companies right after.

News didn't mention any of this of this, I'm not surprised. Now people are going think that he was simply a Somali hoodlum.

Tell me as I am a Somali Schulich student geared for success that when I die I will be labelled as a malevolent criminal by the media and all my accomplishments and life successes will be gone. The propaganda that somali males are savage gang-bangers and that when they die in homicide they usually "deserve it" has riddled me my whole life. Now that my mentor a charming somali Schulich student who lived a life that should be esteemed and used as blueprint for success has died in homicide and they label him as a criminal. Even though he worked with the youth every saturday, owned his very own I.T company and never had an encounter with the police or a criminal record. The media has not mentioned any of this, however they have crafted their usual template of crime, a young black male with murderous intent soaked in a black hoody. You, his friends know this make absolutely no sense but to the person who is watching the television he's just another "somali gangbanger". His fellow Schulich peers, his friends and people who believe in justice should spread this knowledge about the way he lived his life and who he really was, because his life doesn't add up to him dying as a criminal. Now you can take this with a grain of sand and continue living in ignorance or try to solve this injustice by learning about his life, who he was and the solid evidence from this case. Share this and get this information known or continue believing everything you see on tv.

GrandpaDulee, once again you've shown that you talk out of your ass. Kulaha, he was a UofT student. He was said to be a York University student for one. In addition, how would you know of any University students? Last time I checked your ass was rejected multiple times. You couldn't even get into community college. :russ:

I ain't lying for no one. I only speak the truth. And, in this case I believe the news station and the home owner instead of the Somalis. :steviej:

We will not lie for anyone. Or make up make believe stories like these so called 'parents'. I'm still trying to wrap my head around the fact that this man was out at 4am. Where were his parents? As my father liked to say, 'nothing good comes out after 12pm.'

It was. These are the following Somalis that I heard of in the news that got murdered or killed:

Ahmed Hassan, 24, was shot dead on June 2nd, 2012, in Toronto's Eaton Centre Mall
Suleiman Ali, 26, of Toronto
Warsame Ali, 26, of Vaughan, were found in a laneway behind Jamestown Crescent, near Finch Avenue West and Martin Grove Road.
Abdulaziz Farah, 28, killed by a friend while sitting in his car at 3 in the morning
Fartun Ali, 18 was killed by her sister's car while walking on the sidewalk
Ibrahim Abukar, 22 shot in a home invasion

Those are the ones I remember off the top of my head. I'm probably missing a couple more though.
